Job Description

The Role: 


A program manager leads our finance program and acts as a strategic partner to the finance team. This role is crucial in defining the program timeline, scope, budget, and people management, while ensuring strategic alignment between IT and finance.


Responsibilities of the role:


  • Define and manage the program timeline, scope, and budget.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of finance projects.
  • Ensure all projects within the program are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Act as a sparring partner to the finance team, providing strategic insights and support.
  • Facilitate alignment between IT and finance to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to program success.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure their needs are met.
  • Communicate program status, issues, and successes to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and other program staff. 
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure program success. 
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education:


  • ​​​​​​​Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years within finance role (accounting, controlling, financial planning)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within commodity sector.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align program goals with organizational strategy.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of finance principles and practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT systems and their integration with finance.

Other Competences:


  • Good communication skills and willingness to work with people of varied cultures.

Languages:


  • Perfect spoken English, and the language of the area of operation (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese)

  • Require travelling 
  • Require usage of Project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet)
