About the job Senior Payroll & Admin officer

Location: Malta


Basis: Full time


Remuneration: Salary + Benefits


Main Duties - Payroll:


  • Coordinate monthly payroll processing with providers inside and outside the EU
  • Collect and validate payroll inputs, including hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, and leaves
  • Review payroll outputs for accuracy before approval
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Support payroll audits and compliance activities
  • Maintain payroll calendars to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Coordinate statutory reporting and payroll documentation
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, pensions, healthcare, and rewards
  • Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and timely
  • Maintain payroll records in compliance with GDPR and local privacy regulations
  • Assist with payroll process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Main Duties - HR Administration:


  • Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain organisational charts, employee databases, and HR trackers
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and HR projects
  • Support the preparation of HR metrics, reports, and workforce analytics
  • Provide administrative support to the broader HR function as required

What skills do you need:


  • Minimum of A'level education or similar
  • 2 years of experience in payroll admin and/or HR administration at international level
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers is highly desirable
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
