Experienced Data Analyst - BigQuery / BigTable / BI | Rabat (Morocco)

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Gathering, analyzing, and formalizing business needs for reporting, steering, and data analysis.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and analytical reports.
• Using BigQuery to produce reliable, structured, and actionable analyses.
• Understanding and using data from BigTable in a GCP environment focused on volume / near real-time data.
• Producing ad hoc analyses to support business teams in decision-making.
• Defining, tracking, and ensuring the reliability of KPIs.
• Ensuring the quality, consistency, and availability of data used in reports.
• Collaborating with Data / Product / Business teams to transform business needs into decision-making indicators.

Graduated with a Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or equivalent university with a specialization in IT, or with equivalent significant experience.

Experience: 3 to 7 years in data analysis, reporting, visualization, and performance management.

• Solid experience in SQL, BigQuery, and Data Visualization tools.
• Good understanding of complex data environments on GCP, including BigTable.
• Experience in the retail / mass distribution sector is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data exploration, transformation, and analysis.
• Very good command of BigQuery for handling large volumes of data.
• Good understanding of BigTable and its role in the data ecosystem, especially for processing data from large or near real-time sources.
• Proven experience with a Data Visualization tool (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau…).
• Good understanding of data modeling issues and KPI construction.
• Experience in business analysis, needs gathering, and functional formalization.
• Ability to produce clear, reliable, and decision-oriented dashboards.
• Good understanding of data quality and governance issues.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for complementary analyses.
• Good knowledge of the GCP ecosystem.
• Knowledge of dbt (a plus).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, backlog, sprint…).
