Job description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Production Scheduler in Fez we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your logistics and operational planning expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and solution-driven teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of production schedules and maintaining the flow of materials to the production line. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (industrial planning, logistics, quality, and manufacturing), coordinate with stakeholders to align operations with the Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling (MPS), and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of launching, coordinating, and controlling the progress of Work Orders, but also ensure continuous improvement through action plans for operational challenges.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Scheduling Work Orders according to the MPS.

  • Providing weekly feedback to planning teams to update the MPS based on operational constraints.

  • Coordinating daily with logistics, material planning, and quality teams to ensure production runs smoothly.

  • Defining and implementing improvement actions for material delivery issues to the production line.

  • Converting Planned Orders (MPS) into Work Orders and ensuring their timely launch in production.

  • Monitoring the progress of Work Orders through close collaboration with Line Managers and the EPU (Elementary Production Unit).

  • Ensuring data accuracy related to Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routings in collaboration with the Industrialization team.

  • Alerting planning and supply chain teams about issues affecting plan execution, such as missing parts or quality concerns.

  • Contributing to minimizing product throughput time and maintaining optimum Work In Progress (WIP).

  • Participating in production line meetings and representing the supply chain function.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in production, scheduling, sequencing, or operational supply chain in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally SAP).

  • Knowledge of industrial planning, logistics, inventory management, and material planning.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

  • Commitment to respecting EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) rules and participating in Safety Observation Visits (SOV).

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility.

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs.

  • Progress towards roles such as Scheduling Responsible or other leadership opportunities within the supply chain function.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
