A Project Accountant is responsible for managing financial activities related to specific projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Monitor project costs, expenses, and revenue against budgets
  • Track project financial performance and profitability
  • Prepare periodic financial reports (weekly/monthly) for management
  • Ensure accurate recording of project-related transactions
  • Handle invoicing, billing, and revenue recognition for projects
  • Coordinate with project managers to track financial progress

  • Maintain project accounts, ledgers, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (ERP, SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
