Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development & Maintenance 


    • Develop, enhance, and maintain ERP modules using Informix 4GL and COBOL.


    • Refactor legacy code for improved maintainability and performance.


    • Build APIs and wrapper services for integration with modern systems.


  • Database & System Management 


    • Manage Informix database schemas, stored procedures, and optimize SQL queries.


    • Perform troubleshooting and resolve runtime errors.


  • ERP Functional Expertise 


    • Support ERP workflows for Order Management, Inventory Control, and Fulfillment.


    • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.


  • Modernization & Integration 


    • Document legacy business logic and assist in migration planning.


    • Integrate legacy systems with platforms like Manhattan Active and other modern solutions.


  • Operational Support 


    • Provide incident resolution and break-fix support for ERP stack.


    • Implement CI/CD practices for legacy systems.


Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong proficiency in Informix 4GL and Informix SQL.


  • Experience with COBOL for ERP development.


  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments (AIX preferred).


  • Hands-on experience with ERP domains: Order Management, Inventory, Fulfillment.


  • Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and batch-driven workflows.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of ERP development experience with Informix 4GL.


  • 2+ years of COBOL development experience.


  • Exposure to Genero or similar low-code platforms (nice to have).


  • Prior experience in retail or supply chain ERP systems.


Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.


  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
