Our Potential Opportunity

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a skilled and solution-oriented Solution & Proposal Engineer to join our fast-paced Solution Centre Department. This role is central to designing, optimizing, and proposing control system solutions tailored to customer RFQs and technical requirements. You’ll be working on high-impact projects across industries like Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Energy — shaping automation outcomes that prioritize performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver

  • Manage daily proposal and presales activities, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and adherence to proposal submission deadlines.
  • Review RFQs, client specifications, and tender documents to assess technical and commercial requirements, preparing Statement of Work (SOW) summaries for discussion with the Solution Center Lead and Sales team.
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop comprehensive technical solutions aligned with client needs and project specifications.
  • Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and submission timelines.
  • Develop and recommend optimal control system architectures and automation solutions, obtaining necessary technical approvals from the Solution Center Lead.
  • Prepare proposal support documentation, including Gantt charts, organizational charts, compliance matrices, reference lists, success stories, OEM authorizations, engineer certifications, customer appreciation letters, and other value-added documents to improve bid competitiveness.
  • Complete solution-specific checklists for Control Systems, Wellhead Control Panels (WHCP), Electrical Panels, Metering Skids, Buildings, and other associated systems to ensure complete solution coverage.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, OEMs, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and discount structures.
  • Prepare detailed project cost estimates, commercial evaluations, and pricing models while maintaining profitability and competitiveness.
  • Maintain and continuously update the Master Proposal Database, proposal templates, costing sheets, and standard solution libraries in coordination with the Solution Center Lead.
  • Develop standardized proposal formats, solution architectures, costing methodologies, and documentation templates to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency across all proposals.
  • Perform comprehensive quality reviews of proposals and supporting documents to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission.
  • Identify technical, commercial, contractual, and execution risks within RFQs and tender specifications, escalating concerns and documenting all assumptions and exceptions to the Solution Center Lead.
  • Ensure all proposals clearly define technical and commercial deviations, assumptions, qualifications, and exceptions wherever applicable.
  • Gather feedback from Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) on submitted proposals and incorporate lessons learned to enhance future proposal quality and win rates.
  • Provide technical support during prequalification (PQ) activities and customer registration processes for new clients.
  • Conduct customer site visits whenever required to understand project scope, perform technical assessments, and support solution development.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of vendor pricing, customer information, bid strategies, commercial data, and project documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Support continuous process improvement by developing efficient proposal workflows, calculation tools, reusable templates, and standardized documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Management teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions.
  • Assist management in fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment by promoting knowledge sharing, process improvements, and continuous team development.
