Senior Project Manager – Generic



Technical background : Mainframe/Midrange

Role Purpose



Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within a large-scale transformation programme, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, strong delivery governance, and robust financial control across all workstreams. Drive execution excellence, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes.



Key Accountabilities



  • Lead all stages of project delivery, including scoping, planning, requirements definition, testing, deployment, and service transition
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards
  • Track and communicate project milestones, risks, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders and leadership
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, and status reports
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues to support informed decision-making and maintain delivery momentum
  • Apply and adapt governance frameworks, standards, and delivery methodologies in line with project needs
  • Drive strong stakeholder engagement, managing competing priorities and supporting organisational change readiness
  • Partner with Finance and PMO to ensure accurate financial management, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control
