Responsibilities
* Collect, interpret, and analyse large, complex data sets using statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns.
* Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
* Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain the integrity of our databases and data systems.
* Create and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualisations for management and other stakeholders.
* Collaborate with management and various departments to understand and prioritise business and information needs.
* Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
* Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
* Strong technical skills with proficiency in SQL and experience with reporting packages.
* Expertise in data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
* Proficient in using statistical packages for analysing datasets (e.g., Python, R, SPSS).
* Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI is highly advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is highly regarded.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely.
