Job description

Binance is a leading global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users. We are trusted by 300+ million people in 100+ countries for our industry-leading security, user fund transparency, trading engine speed, deep liquidity, and an unmatched portfolio of digital-asset products. Binance offerings range from trading and finance to education, research, payments, institutional services, Web3 features, and more. We leverage the power of digital assets and blockchain to build an inclusive financial ecosystem to advance the freedom of money and improve financial access for people around the world.
Binance AI Pro is a next-generation AI-powered trading assistant which enables users to configure leading AI models and execute semi-automated trading strategies through a dedicated AI sub-account. As a Backend Engineer on this team, you'll build and scale the core infrastructure powering AI agent orchestration, trading execution, account management, and real-time asset monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance backend services powering AI agent execution — trade orders, strategy execution, and asset monitoring
  • Build and maintain the AI sub-account system, including API key lifecycle management, permissions control, and fund segregation logic
  • Integrate with Binance trading APIs (spot, perpetual contracts, leveraged borrowing) to support AI-driven order execution
  • Develop the Binance Skills integration layer, enabling AI models to call platform capabilities reliably and safely
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to build tool-calling frameworks supporting multi-model integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Qwen, MiniMax, Kimi)
  • Design scalable, low-latency systems for real-time market data, trade signals, and position monitoring
  • Ensure reliability, observability, and security across all AI Pro services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3~8 years of professional experience in Backend (Java) and AI Engineering.
  • Strong experience designing distributed, high-availability systems
Familiarity with LLM APIs and agentic AI patterns (tool calling, function calling, multi-turn conversations)
  • Experience with crypto/Web3 trading platforms, AI model orchestration (LangChain, OpenAI Assistants), or real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Flink)
  • Experience with financial systems — trading engines, order management, account systems, or payment infrastructure
Solid understanding of API security, permissions management, and key lifecycle management
