Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee installation, maintenance (preventive, predictive, and emergency), testing, calibration, and upgrading of all types of electrical meters, including smart meters
  • Ensure all electrical meter installations comply with company standards, approved specifications, and safety regulations
  • Troubleshoot electrical metering systems to ensure accurate, reliable, and uninterrupted meter readings
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, and service providers to enhance meter performance and data accuracy
  • Review meter communication systems and support integration with MDMS and related platforms
  • Monitor installation progress and operational performance, identifying defects, non-conformities, and improvement actions
  • Prepare technical reports and dashboards on installation status, system performance, and operational feedback
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring issues, escalations, or repeated customer complaints, and report findings to leadership
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives for electrical metering systems
  • Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, Risk Management, ISMS, BCMS, and corporate governance frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with corporate Health & Safety regulations
  • Remain available to respond promptly during emergencies or blackouts, including additional work hours when required
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management

RequirementsRequirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in electrical metering systems or a related field, preferably within a utility or large infrastructure environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical and smart metering systems
  • Working knowledge of MDMS, meter communication protocols, and electrical standards
  • Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience in meter installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance activities
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage operational issues in field and system environments
  • Written and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred
