Base Location: OPERATIONS (REFINING)


Primary Purpose of Job:


1. To Prepare and Supervise all types of rigging equipment installed at the Refinery


site and Workshops including the Mobile cranes, fork lifters, Pay loader, floor


cranes, winches, lifting beams, bridge cranes, chain blocks, rigging hardware


including slings, eyebolts, wire ropes, etc.


2. To assist the Sr. Foreman in estimating the loads, working radii, balancing during


lifting operation, type of rigging tools and equipment and to supervise & guide the


associated work force for safe handling of materials.


Principle I Key Responsibilities:


Main Areas of work are Refinery 1/2, RFCC, Condensate Refinery, Utilities, and Offsite


including CHEMICAL PLANT and Berth # 6.


1. To assist the Heavy Equipment Supervisor in maintaining all rigging items.


2. Monitor rigging items by performing regular proof load testing.


3. Should perform as a signal person in the Refinery environment using respiratory


protection and other personal protective equipment as and when required.


4. Check work at site including taking the measurements and establishing loads to


be lifted.


5. To be responsible for selection of right Rigging tools and Heavy equipment for all


lifting activities conducted in all Refinery units area, should be able to


independently supervise and instruct the team the job as assigned by Heavy


equipment Supervisor.


6. Should be able to work from Rigging plan, Equipment drawing, sketches and


engineering specifications. Issue relevant Work permits in RIS as per job


requirement at site.


7. Issue work direction to assigned rigging group and ensure safe working conditions
for the workers and the work.


8. Perform rigging duties in dismantling and assembly of refinery equipment including
/ heat exchangers, turbines, pumps, motors, etc. Supervise the Contractual Rigging Mappower, during Normal Routine and Shutdowns.


9.Coordinate work execution with other sections.


10. To prepare lifting tackle for heavy duty installation work including rigging and
operating pull lifts, chain blocks, rope blocks, pneumatic/electric winches, ringing
cranes, hoists, greasing of cables, etc.


11. Ensures that the company environmental, health and safety procedures are
adhered to while performing maintenance work inside the Refinery. Ensures safe
working condition for all workers and the work and to arrange housekeeping and
cleaning of work area and the equipment. Ensures that the company

12. Coordinate work execution with other sections. Undertake rigging of all lifts
ensuring correct rigging practices and safety of all lifts at all times.


13. To prepare lifting tackle for heavy duty installation work including rigging and
operating pull lifts, chain blocks, rope blocks, pneumatic/electric winches, ringing
cranes, hoists, greasing of cables, etc.
14. Any other work as assigned by the Heavy Equipment Supervisor.
Training is required by Contractor through Certified Third Party for JD-04 FOREMAN

Qualifications & Experience:
Industrial Diploma Certificate with 12 years of School education, formal
professional level courses and certifications in heavy lifting/rigging using mobile
and overhead cranes, winches, etc. along with 8-10 years of working experience
in construction and/or petrochemical environment.
Good English communication skills (oral/written)
Ability to work in a multinational environment.
Capable of using computer for creating permits in RIS, experience of using SAP
& MS Office (Word & Excel).
Age limit: Not more than 45 years old.
Candidate should have a valid Qatari Driving License.
