Hiring: Project Engineering Lead – Warranty & Project Execution
Location: Doha, Ras Laffan, Qatar
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract
Work Schedule
  • 100% Onshore
  • Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
  • 6 Days per Week
  • 8–10 Hours per Day
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Lead to manage and coordinate warranty activities during project handover and post-commissioning phases for major LNG and Oil & Gas projects.
The successful candidate will lead the warranty management process, ensuring timely closure of defects through effective collaboration between EPC Contractors, Operations teams, and end users. This role will also support project engineering activities during construction, commissioning, startup, and operations readiness while ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the complete warranty claims process between EPC Contractors and Company stakeholders.
  • Maintain and administer the Warranty Claim Form Register and Warranty Register.
  • Coordinate identification, assignment, tracking, resolution, and closure of defects.
  • Facilitate communication between Operations, Startup Teams, Project Teams, and Contractors for timely defect resolution.
  • Support Project Manager in engineering, construction, quality, safety, commissioning, and interface management activities.
  • Coordinate observations and findings identified during startup and operations.
  • Support Operations Readiness Plan (ORP) activities and ensure deliverables are achieved as planned.
  • Monitor warranty-related commercial and technical obligations.
  • Ensure repairs and corrective actions are executed efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and project execution excellence.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including mentoring junior engineers and national development programs.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas industry experience across project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Execution experience.
  • Strong background in Commissioning and Startup activities.
  • Minimum 3 years of Warranty Coordination experience.
  • Proven experience managing Warranty Claims and Defect Resolution processes.
  • Experience working with major EPC Contractors, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
  • Experience supporting LNG operations, troubleshooting operational defects, cause-and-effect analysis, and debottlenecking activities.
  • Previous Qatar or regional experience is preferred.
  • Experience in supervisory or contractor oversight roles is advantageous.

  • Strong project planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical engineering applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a challenging and fast-paced project environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
