The Data Governance Assistant Manager supports CATRION’s enterprise-wide data governance strategy by helping to develop, implement, and maintain frameworks, standards, and controls that ensure information is accurate, secure, well-classified, and compliant with regulations. Working with leadership, business units, and technical teams, this role bridges policy and operations to safeguard sensitive data, maintain integrity, and enable ethical, data‑driven decision-making.
Job Description
• Support in developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s data governance framework, policies, and standards.
• Assist in defining roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship across business units.
• Contribute to the classification, cataloguing, and metadata management of enterprise data assets.
• Support monitoring of data quality, consistency, and integrity; coordinate remediation of identified issues with data owners.
• Assist in establishing controls for data lifecycle management (creation, usage, retention, archival, and disposal).
• Contribute to implementing and maintaining data lineage and traceability processes.
• Support in defining and monitoring KPIs and metrics for data governance effectiveness.
• Assist in evaluating and integrating tools and technologies for data governance, metadata, and data quality management.
• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to ensure access management, data protection, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Support in preparing reports, dashboards, and documentation on governance activities, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to awareness sessions and training programs to embed data governance practices across the organization.
• Support in maintaining an inventory of AI use cases and the data sources they rely on, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
• Ensure data used in AI models meets governance standards for quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Contribute to monitoring and documenting data lineage for AI systems, including transformations and ownership of datasets.
• Assist in assessing and mitigating risks of bias, fairness, and regulatory non-compliance related to datasets feeding AI models.
• Collaborate with Data Privacy and IT Security teams to ensure AI data processing complies with PDPL, NDMO standards, and NCA DCC requirements.
• Provide input to policies and guidelines that govern responsible data use in AI systems and analytics.
• Support the Data Management Office in establishing and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance practices.
• Contribute to fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and integrity in the use of organizational data.
• Act as a trusted partner to business units, IT, and compliance teams to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible.
• Promote awareness of the importance of data quality and governance in enabling secure, compliant, and value-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrate continuous learning by staying informed of emerging data governance standards, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Uphold ethical standards in data handling, ensuring that data is managed in a way that supports both business efficiency and regulatory compliance.
