About the job ELECTRICAL BIM ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Engineer to develop, coordinate, and manage electrical BIM models for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed BIM models related to electrical systems including power, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and containment systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications and BIM standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Autodesk Revit.
  • Prepare BIM models for:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting systems
    • ELV systems
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Cable trays and containment systems
  • Coordinate electrical models with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
  • Produce shop drawings, layouts, sections, schedules, and as-built drawings from BIM models.
  • Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and client standards.
  • Review IFC drawings, consultant drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design clashes.
  • Support quantity take-off and material estimation from BIM models.
  • Assist site and engineering teams with model updates and technical coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and updated project models throughout project lifecycle.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Electrical BIM modeling and coordination.
  • GCC experience is preferred.
  • Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, airport, hospital, metro, infrastructure, or data center projects is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Autodesk Revit MEP
    • Navisworks
    • AutoCAD
    • BIM 360 / ACC
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems design and coordination
    • Low current / ELV systems
    • Lighting and power layouts
    • Electrical containment systems
  • Understanding of international electrical codes and BIM standards.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
  • BIM certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with LOD 300/350/400 development.
  • Familiarity with clash resolution and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
  • Knowledge of construction and site execution processes.
