Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Site HVAC Engineer to oversee and supervise all Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) works on construction projects.
The successful candidate will ensure that HVAC installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor all HVAC installation works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Review HVAC shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
Coordinate HVAC activities with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of ductwork, piping, insulation, equipment installation, and overall workmanship.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure HVAC works are completed according to project schedules and milestones.
Verify the installation of HVAC equipment, including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ventilation systems, exhaust systems, and ductwork.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and health and safety requirements.
Review and witness testing, balancing, commissioning, and functional performance of HVAC systems.
Prepare and review inspection requests (IRs), testing reports, snag lists, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical support and progress updates.
Review as-built drawings and verify completed HVAC installations prior to project handover.
Evaluate technical variations, change orders, and site modifications when required.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, testing results, and site activities.
Support the successful commissioning and handover of HVAC systems.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC site supervision on construction projects.
Experience in commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, smoke extraction, and building services.
Familiarity with local and international HVAC codes, standards, and best engineering practices.
Professional engineering registration or relevant accreditation is preferred.
Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit MEP , Navisworks , and Microsoft Office .
Ability to review HVAC drawings, shop drawings, calculations, and technical submittals.
Knowledge of HVAC testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB), commissioning, and QA/QC procedures.
Experience with project management and document control software is an advantage.
