About the job MECHANICAL BIM ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical BIM Engineer with strong experience in BIM modeling and coordination for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical BIM models including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related mechanical systems in compliance with project requirements and international BIM standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit.
  • Prepare HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and mechanical services models.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
  • Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and participate in coordination meetings.
  • Produce shop drawings, sections, schedules, and as-built drawings from BIM models.
  • Ensure models comply with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), standards, and client requirements.
  • Review consultant drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Support quantity take-offs and material estimation from BIM models.
  • Collaborate with site engineers and construction teams for model updates and technical support.
  • Maintain model accuracy and ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing BIM reports and documentation.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Mechanical BIM modeling and coordination.
  • GCC project experience is preferred.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, infrastructure, airport, hospital, or data center projects is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Autodesk Revit MEP
    • Navisworks
    • AutoCAD
    • BIM 360 / ACC
  • Good understanding of:
    • HVAC systems
    • Plumbing & drainage systems
    • Firefighting systems
    • Mechanical coordination workflows
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving and team collaboration abilities.
