This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the heart of Soum's electronics business. You will be responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving end-to-end operations — from inbound inventory and quality control through to last-mile delivery and customer fulfilment. You will set the operational tempo, define the standards, and hold the line on execution.
We are looking for someone who approaches operations with the same precision, discipline, and conviction that defines world-class execution. You are the kind of person who knows exactly what is happening in your domain at any given moment — not because you micromanage, but because you build systems and teams that give you full visibility and control. You take ownership completely, act decisively, and drive results without needing to be pushed.
What You Will Do
Design, launch, and scale operational processes for the electronics vertical from the ground up or take existing operations to a significantly higher level of performance.
Establish standard operating procedures, performance benchmarks, and quality frameworks that can sustain rapid growth.
Oversee the full operational lifecycle — inventory management, warehousing, quality inspection, dispatch, and last-mile delivery.
Own the analytics layer of operations: define the KPIs that matter, build dashboards, and use data daily to diagnose problems and make decisions.
Apply quantitative thinking to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, optimise capacity, and allocate resources effectively.
Build a culture where decisions are evidence-based and gut feelings are validated with numbers.
Actively identify and integrate AI tools and automation into operational workflows to increase speed, accuracy, and team output.
Stay at the frontier of how technology is changing operations and bring that knowledge into Soum before it becomes standard practice.
Champion the use of modern tooling across your team — from warehouse management systems to AI-assisted process design.
Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously with complete discipline — clear plans, defined milestones, tracked progress, and zero tolerance for ambiguity.
Anticipate risks before they become problems and have contingency plans ready.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Tech, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to deliver on shared goals.
Build, develop, and lead an operations team — setting high standards, providing clear direction, and holding people accountable.
Create an environment where the team understands exactly what is expected, has the tools to deliver, and is developed continuously.
What We Are Looking For
4–5+ years of progressive operations experience, ideally in e-commerce, last-mile delivery, logistics, or a related high-throughput environment.
Demonstrated track record of building large-scale operations from scratch or scaling them significantly — not just maintaining them.
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory. Strong English is required for cross-functional and technical work.
Familiarity with the Saudi market and its operational dynamics is strongly preferred.
Deeply quantitative — you are comfortable with data, use it to guide every major decision, and can build or interpret analytical models.
Genuinely excited about AI — you follow developments in the space, experiment with new tools proactively, and find ways to apply them to operational challenges.
Proficient with operational tooling and tech stacks relevant to e-commerce and logistics environments.
