Basic Function
Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the paper machine, ensuring the production of high-quality paper products that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Monitor and adjust the paper machine's operating parameters, such as speed, temperature, and chemical dosing, to maintain product quality and process efficiency
•Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the paper machine and associated equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or malfunctions
•Coordinate with the production team to ensure the timely and orderly supply of raw materials, chemicals, and other consumables required for paper production
•Collect and analyze data from the paper machine's control systems and instrumentation, making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance
•Implement quality control measures, such as sampling and testing, to ensure the final paper product meets all specified requirements
•Document all relevant operational data, production logs, and quality records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
•Assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of any production-related issues, collaborating with maintenance and engineering personnel as needed
•Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations pertaining to the operation of the paper machine and associated processes
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and product quality
•Provide training and mentorship to less experienced paper machine operators, as required
Min. Education & Skills Required
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in paper processing or a related field preferred
•Minimum 3-5 years of experience in paper machine operations
•Thorough understanding of paper machine operations, process control systems, and quality control procedures
•Proficient in interpreting and adjusting process parameters based on real-time data and production requirements
•Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in the paper manufacturing industry
