The project:


This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.


You’ll be responsible for:


  • Develop and deliver annual business plan outcomes within agreed deadlines and budget requirements


  • Lead and manage technical resources associated with solid waste management infrastructure, overseeing delivery activities and ensuring alignment with programme objectives.


  • Present management review data, technical performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and functional leadership teams.


  • Support business development, work-winning activities, market engagement, and the delivery of technical training and capability development initiatives.


  • Ensure compliance with management systems, project governance requirements, relevant regulations, and defined roles and responsibilities.


  • Act as the primary focal point for solid waste management matters, driving continuous improvement in waste strategies, technical standards, delivery plans, tools, and operational processes.


  • Lead technical coordination and provide specialist input into waste collection, transfer, treatment, recycling, resource recovery, waste-to-energy, and disposal infrastructure solutions.


  • Influence procurement strategies, contractual and commercial matters, and collaborate with PMO and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and coordinated project delivery.


  • Promote technical excellence, innovation, circular economy principles, and industry best practices through engagement with organisational knowledge networks and centres of excellence.


  • Support net-zero carbon objectives through the implementation of waste minimisation, resource recovery, recycling, and carbon reduction initiatives across the project lifecycle.


You’ll need to have:


  • Educated to degree level in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent).


  • Extensive experience in solid waste management, waste infrastructure planning, design, delivery, operations, or consultancy.


  • Strong understanding of integrated waste management systems, recycling, resource recovery, waste treatment technologies, and sustainability principles.


  • Proven stakeholder management, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary project coordination experience.
