Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for safe navigation and bridge watchkeeping as per STCW and company procedures.
  • Assist Master and Chief Officer in execution of dredging operations and vessel positioning.
  • Operate and monitor ECDIS, radar, GPS, and other bridge equipment during dredging and sailing.
  • Maintain proper passage planning and updates of charts, publications, and Notices to Mariners.
  • Support dredging operations by coordinating with dredge master and monitoring production areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and ISM/ISPS regulations onboard.
  • Carry out regular inspection and maintenance of life-saving and firefighting appliances.
  • Maintain accurate deck records including logs, reports, and dredging operation data.
  • Assist in mooring, unmooring, and anchoring operations of the dredger.
  • Coordinate with deck crew for maintenance and repair activities on deck equipment.
  • Act as bridge team member during critical dredging operations in restricted waters.
  • Support implementation of toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work system.
  • Ensure adherence to company dredging production targets with safe operational practices.
  • Participate in emergency response, drills, and safety training onboard.

Qualifications:

Certificate as Officer In Charge of Navigation Watch


Basic & advanced STCW training certificate.


MLC/Seafarer's medical fitness certificate.
