JOB OVERVIEW:
The Animator ensures a smooth, fun, interactive and positive execution of the Guest Experience program including, but not limited to, character appearances, shows and events hosting, operation and support of live shows, provision of queue line entertainment, birthday party animation as well as assisting in other areas of the Guest Experience Departments depending on the needs of the business. The Animator position is focused on delivering a highly interactive, positive and fun experience of all Guest Experience offerings to guests.
JOB SCOPE:
Performs as character animators, in accordance with themed choreography and staged shows in the parks and during events
Presents shows, ceremonies, or any other offerings
Provides support and operate parks’ offerings as needed
Operates live show duties
Provides animation to birthday parties as requested and delineated by management
Maintains props and special effects for all Guest Experience offerings
Performs at offsite functions on behalf of the parks as character animators escorts and hosts as requested
Supports on and offsite events with AV, staging, event setup, lighting setup and de-rig as needed
Maintains laundry, costumes and daily show checklists
Supports events with other skills including but not limited to dance, face painting, balloon art, juggling, stilt walking, poi performances etc.
Adheres to all schedules assigned, including but not limited to weekly and daily requirements
Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
Attends trainings as requested and scheduled by management
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
Higher secondary or equivalent
1 year of experience in the entertainment industry, including theatre, dance, circus, music
Physical aptitude: strength to move when wearing full body costume character
Dance: ability to learn and execute basic choreography
Hosting: proficiency in English and ability to speak in front of groups
Attitude: capability to maintain positive attitude under a variety of circumstances
Personality: ability to be outgoing and friendly towards others
Desirable:
Juggling, magic tricks, singing, playing instruments, tumbling, skating, martial arts, physical comedy and public speaking. Prefer candidates with experience playing full body characters as well as candidates with theatre, dance, singing and/or hosting formal training.
Professional training degree in theatre or dance
2 years of experience in the various fields of entertainment
