The College of Information Technology (CIT) at UAE University is seeking to appoint a highly qualified faculty member in Computer & AI Engineering, with a strong focus on Drones/UAVs, Robotics and Autonomous Systems. This role will play a vital part in strengthening our research programs and launching new multidisciplinary research initiatives and partnerships, both within the university and with external organizations, to support the college’s long-term stability and growth. Position Overview: We invite exceptional candidates with a proven research background in Drones/UAVs and Autonomous Systems. Priority areas include UAV guidance, navigation and control (GNC), autonomy stacks (planning, decision-making, and control), UAV systems engineering and integration, robust and safe autonomy, multi-agent UAV coordination, and real-world deployment/validation. The successful applicant will be expected to enhance and expand upon the College’s current research strengths, as well as contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses. Engaging and mentoring students across various academic programs will also be a key responsibility. Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution. In addition, applicants should demonstrate: • A strong record of publications in leading Q1 journals and top-tier conferences within the field • Proven success in writing and securing competitive research grants • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and supervising students at both undergraduate and graduate levels • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively across various departments and interdisciplinary programs Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted for interviews. Minimum Qualifications:
