Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement logistics strategies for substation projects.
- Plan transportation of transformers, GIS equipment, switchgear, control panels, cables, and other electrical materials.
- Coordinate local and international shipments from suppliers to project sites.
- Ensure project materials are delivered according to construction schedules.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport contractors, and customs brokers.
- Monitor material movement from factory to site.
- Optimize transportation costs while maintaining delivery timelines.
- Maintain logistics KPIs and performance reports.
Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE and GCC customs regulations.
- Manage import/export documentation, permits, certificates of origin, and customs clearance processes.
- Coordinate with government authorities and free-zone entities when required.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical equipment.

- Conduct periodic inventory audits.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement Teams, Site Managers, and Vendors.
- Support project execution by ensuring material availability at site.

Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare logistics budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor freight, warehousing, and transportation costs.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
Health, Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations.
- Promote safe handling and transportation practices for heavy electrical equipment.
- Ensure logistics activities meet project quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPL, CILT, or PMP are advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- 8–15 years of logistics and supply chain experience.
- Minimum 5 years in electrical transmission, power, EPC, or substation projects.
- Strong experience in Middle East/GCC logistics operations.
- Experience handling oversized and heavy-lift cargo such as transformers and GIS equipment.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and international shipping processes.
- Familiarity with substation equipment and project execution processes.
- ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting tools.
