We are seeking a skilled CFD Engineer specializing in fire and life safety to design and analyze smoke control systems for complex building projects. The role involves performing advanced simulations, preparing technical documentation, and supporting design approvals in compliance with international and local fire safety standards.
Design smoke control and ventilation systems in compliance with NFPA 92, IBC, and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
Perform CFD simulations using tools such as FDS and PyroSim to evaluate smoke movement, tenability, and safe egress conditions.
Conduct evacuation calculations and develop evacuation models to assess occupant safety.
Prepare detailed technical reports, system calculations, and documentation for authority submissions.
Estimate project costs for ducts, control systems, and related accessories based on project requirements.
Review architectural and fire protection drawings, reports, and specifications to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to integrate smoke management strategies.
Support client meetings, presentations, and authority approvals using CFD analysis and simulation results.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in CFD analysis and fire safety engineering.
Proficiency in CFD tools such as FDS and PyroSim.
Strong understanding of NFPA standards, IBC, and UAE Fire Code.
Experience in smoke control design and evacuation modeling.
Good analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
Experience working on complex or high-rise building projects.
Familiarity with authority approval processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
