Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chef De Cuisine to lead our culinary operations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all kitchen operations, mentor a talented culinary brigade, and deliver exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will combine your technical expertise with innovative thinking to drive culinary excellence, maintain rigorous food safety standards, and contribute to the strategic growth of our food and beverage program.


  • Lead, supervise, and develop the kitchen brigade through mentoring, training, and performance management to foster a culture of continuous culinary improvement
  • Design, develop, and execute innovative menus that reflect contemporary culinary trends while respecting seasonality and flavor harmony
  • Ensure consistent execution of all dishes according to established recipes and quality standards, maintaining the highest level of food presentation and finesse
  • Oversee food cost management and implement strategies to optimize food revenue while maintaining quality and portion control
  • Maintain strict adherence to HACCP standards and all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environment
  • Coordinate seamlessly between the kitchen and service teams to ensure efficient communication and flawless execution during service
  • Conduct daily kitchen briefings and prepare work schedules for team members to ensure optimal operational efficiency
  • Recruit, onboard, and train kitchen staff using established training methodologies and performance evaluation protocols
  • Engage directly with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with culinary offerings
  • Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of all kitchen work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage team to conceptualize and execute special culinary events and promotions
  • Stay current with culinary innovations and industry best practices, bringing fresh ideas and techniques to the kitchen
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by modeling professional behavior, maintaining composure under pressure, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and discretion
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives

Qualifications

  • Cooperate and comply with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in regards to OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
  • Take  reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, enviroment and others at work.
  • Do not adversely interfere with anything provided for OSH
  • Do not interfere adversely with anything in place to control OSH risks.
  • Cooperate with organization with respect to acions and or action taken to protect the employee/ OSH requirments.
  • Follow OSHMS procedures as applicable.
  • Raise identified OSH issues with designated persons and take part in OSH consulative OSH requirements.
  • Report all near miss/ hazard/ unsafe/ conditions or act.
  • Use appropriate PPE and safety syatems
  • Be familiers with emergency and evacuation procesures.
  • Attend OSH training as required by the training needs analysis.
  • Maintan all OSHMS records as required by the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY:


  • Held accountable and committed whatever it takes to comply with the company’s OSHMS Policies, OSHMS
    Procedure, & Operational Works Instruction and any other relevant legislation applies within the organization.
  • Held accountable to take care of his own health and safety, other person in the workplace that may be affected by their acts or omission at work.
