Job Description

As the Cluster Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading all engineering functions across multiple hotels, ensuring the highest standards of preventive maintenance, asset reliability, regulatory compliance, energy efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with hotel leadership teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering operations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop Engineering Supervisors, Technicians, and support teams across the cluster.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all hotel facilities, equipment, and engineering systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, fire and life safety requirements, HACCP standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Plan and manage renovation, refurbishment, and capital improvement projects.
  • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage engineering budgets while controlling maintenance and contractor costs.
  • Build strong partnerships with contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other operational departments to support seamless hotel operations.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, audit records, and compliance reports.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategic recommendations to hotel management on asset performance and operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience within the hospitality industry, preferably managing multiple hotel properties.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering operations, including HVAC, MEP systems, electrical, plumbing, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Sound knowledge of UAE regulations, fire and life safety requirements, and preventive maintenance best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, project management, contractor management, and energy optimization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
