We're Hiring | Consultant Anesthesiologist-Abu Dhabi 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant Anesthesiologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.
The successful candidate will provide expert anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
The Consultant will collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive perioperative care.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient evaluation, risk stratification, and anesthesia planning.
Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and manage anesthesia-related complications promptly and effectively.
Provide postoperative pain management and participate in acute and chronic pain management programs.
Deliver anesthesia services for operating rooms, day surgery units, labor and delivery, endoscopy suites, interventional radiology, and other procedural areas.
Manage airway emergencies and provide advanced life support when required.
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, morbidity and mortality meetings, and clinical governance activities.
Supervise and mentor specialist physicians, residents, and anesthesia staff where applicable.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
Ensure compliance with the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, infection control protocols, and international patient safety standards.

Qualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

Fellowship training in a subspecialty such as Cardiac, Pediatric, Neuro, Obstetric, Critical Care, or Pain Medicine is an advantage.

Minimum 5–8 years of post-specialization experience at the consultant level is preferred.

Excellent clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
