We're Hiring | Consultant Interventional Radiology – Abu Dhabi, UAE 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi.
The successful candidate will provide expert minimally invasive image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while delivering exceptional patient care.
The Consultant will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service development, and ensure compliance with international clinical standards and the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations.
Key Responsibilities Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and angiography.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring interventional radiology procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Perform vascular and non-vascular interventions, including angiography, angioplasty, embolization, thrombolysis, venous access procedures, drainage procedures, biopsies, tumor ablation, and image-guided interventions.
Provide pre-procedure consultation, obtain informed consent, assess procedural risks, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Deliver post-procedure care, monitor patient recovery, and manage complications when necessary.
Interpret diagnostic imaging studies to support interventional planning and clinical decision-making.
Collaborate with specialists in vascular surgery, oncology, hepatology, nephrology, cardiology, emergency medicine, intensive care, and other departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumor boards, and case discussions.
Supervise and mentor junior physicians, radiology residents, and allied healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
Participate in quality assurance programs, clinical audits, research activities, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, radiation safety standards, and international best practices.
Contribute to the development and expansion of interventional radiology services within the organization.

Qualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology from a recognized institution.
Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist.

Demonstrated expertise in performing a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.
Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and patient management skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
