Job description

The Technical Engineer – HVAC provides technical engineering leadership for HVAC and refrigeration systems across marine and offshore vessels. The role ensures effective execution of preventive, predictive, proactive maintenance, supports troubleshooting and system performance optimization, ensures compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, classification requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and HSE regulations. The position also supports technical evaluations, spare parts planning, commissioning, inspections, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational continuity.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning activities. 
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. 
  • Review drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation. 
  • Diagnose technical failures and recommend engineering solutions. 
  • Coordinate with workshop teams, OEMs, contractors, vendors, fleet, logistics, and project teams. 
  • Support procurement, spare parts planning, inspections, testing, and performance reporting. 
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE rules. 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, design, and electrical control systems. 
  • Marine, offshore support vessel, dredging vessel, or similar industry experience preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, drawings, P&IDs, and commissioning. 
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, planning, communication, and HSE awareness.
