We are seeking an experienced Freelance Interior Designer to independently manage the design and execution of a commercial office renovation project in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing office design concepts, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, overseeing material selection and procurement, and ensuring the project is delivered within the agreed timeline and budget.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial interior design, office fit-outs, and renovation projects, with the ability to manage projects from concept through completion while maintaining high-quality standards. • Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for a commercial office environment.
• Prepare space planning layouts, mood boards, material boards, and design presentations.
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for project execution.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Source, evaluate, and procure furniture, finishes, fixtures, lighting, and other interior materials.
• Obtain quotations, compare supplier proposals, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is executed according to the approved design.
• Coordinate renovation activities and resolve design or site-related issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building requirements, and health and safety standards where applicable.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Liaise directly with the client, provide regular project updates, and manage design approvals.
• Review completed works, identify snags, and coordinate rectification until project completion.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in commercial interior design, office fit-outs, and renovation projects.
• Previous experience working with an interior design or fit-out company is required.
• Proven experience managing commercial interior projects from concept through completion.
• Strong network of reliable suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors within the UAE.
• Hands-on experience in sourcing and purchasing interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, and materials.
• Strong knowledge of commercial space planning, construction methods, and fit-out processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualization software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent project management, coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must hold a valid UAE Freelance Visa with the legal ability to undertake freelance assignments.
• A portfolio showcasing completed commercial office, corporate, or renovation projects is mandatory.
• UAE driving licence and own vehicle are preferred for regular site visits.
