As a Manager Enterprise Architecture, you will define, develop and govern the technology strategy for Dubai World Central (DWC), ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise IT strategy. You will shape the direction of technology investments, establish architectural standards, and identify strategic priorities that enable the airport's long term digital transformation. Working across business and technology domains, you will identify emerging opportunities, improve IT responsiveness, and accelerate the delivery of secure, scalable, and future ready solutions. By driving enterprise-wide transparency and encouraging teams to think globally while delivering locally, you will help build a connected, intelligent airport powered by modern architecture and innovation.




In the role, you will:



  • Define and govern the enterprise technology strategy for Dubai World Central (DWC), ensuring alignment with business objectives and long term digital transformation goals.
  • Establish enterprise architecture principles, standards, governance, and reusable architecture patterns that enable scalable, resilient, and future ready technology platforms.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating opportunities to modernise the technology landscape and reduce technical debt.
  • Lead the evolution of enterprise architecture across applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, integration, and platform services.
  • Develop enterprise roadmaps that simplify, modernise, and transform the technology estate while supporting operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to architecture teams, building capability and fostering a collaborative, high performing culture.
  • Define enterprise data and analytics standards that ensure trusted, secure, and well governed information to support business decision making.
  • Partner with business leaders, engineering teams, and delivery organisations to translate strategic priorities into technology capabilities and transformation roadmaps.
  • Champion architecture governance, best practices, and modern design principles to improve agility, resilience, and speed of delivery.
  • Lead technology investment decisions through architectural governance, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, business case evaluation, and vendor selection.
  • Drive enterprise transformation programmes focused on simplifying and modernising the technology landscape, ensuring platforms remain secure, scalable, and ready to support future airport growth.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent IT-related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and Enterprise Architecture focused on developing large-scale, complex, distributed, and mission-critical applications across heterogeneous environments.
  • Experience defining and executing technology strategies with both an enterprise-wide perspective and solution-level detail, ideally within Product-centric delivery models and in partnership with Product Management.
  • Technical leadership and architecture experience, including leading Solution Architects, influencing delivery plans, and directing strategic technology investments.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience across application, infrastructure, and platform architecture, including large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of application development technologies such as Java, open-source frameworks, cloud platforms, and low-code solutions.
  • Knowledge of non-functional requirements and engineering practices including observability, automation, scalability, maintainability, resilience, and security.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or other modern approaches, and proficiency in modelling techniques such as ArchiMate and/or UML.
  • Understanding of contemporary architecture styles including microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native applications, and Well-Architected Framework principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, FinOps practices, and IT financial models including TCO and budgeting to support cost-optimised technology decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to align business capabilities, value streams, and operating models with enterprise technology strategy. Airline and/or Airport domain experience would be advantageous.
