Black & Grey HR is hiring for a starch manufacturing company seeking an experienced Officer – Process (DCS Operator) to monitor and control plant operations through the Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, control, and optimize plant operations using the Distributed Control System (DCS).

- Respond to process alarms, emergencies, and execute safe shutdown procedures in coordination with the production team.

- Coordinate with field operators to ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted plant operations.

- Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and LOTOTO (Lockout/Tagout/Tryout) procedures during maintenance activities.

- Monitor process parameters to maximize product yield, maintain quality, and minimize production losses.

- Optimize consumption of utilities such as water, steam, and power through effective process balancing.

- Prevent process deviations, overflows, equipment damage, and safety incidents by taking timely corrective actions.

- Maintain accurate shift logs, production records, and operational documentation.

- Support 5S, housekeeping, autonomous maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Report safety observations, near misses, and incidents through the prescribed reporting system.


Requirements- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 2–5 years of experience operating DCS in a starch, food processing, chemical, FMCG, or continuous process manufacturing environment.

- Hands-on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and process monitoring.

- Strong understanding of process safety, SOPs, LOTOTO, and industrial safety practices.

- Knowledge of utility management, process optimization, and production quality control.

- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
