Responsibilities:
  • Provide PMC leadership and oversight of materials management activities for offshore construction, ensuring alignment with project specifications, schedules, and contractual requirements.
  • Act as the PMC focal point for offshore materials control, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and consumables to support uninterrupted offshore execution.
  • Ensure materials handling, storage, preservation, and movements comply with HSE standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee EPC contractors’ materials management plans, logistics strategies, warehousing arrangements, and offshore supply chains.
  • Monitor and control offshore material status, inventory levels, shortages, surpluses, and critical items, proactively identifying risks and mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, expediting, logistics, construction, and project controls teams to ensure material readiness aligns with offshore schedules.
  • Review and endorse contractor deliverables related to materials management, including material control procedures, logistics plans, preservation plans, and offshore load‑out schedules.
  • Ensure effective interface management between onshore warehouses, yards, marine logistics, and offshore installations.
  • Track and report material movements, offshore inventory, consumption, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Support offshore construction teams by resolving material‑related issues that could impact productivity or schedule.
  • Ensure proper receipt, inspection, tagging, storage, preservation, and traceability of offshore materials and equipment.
  • Monitor compliance with material certification, documentation, and quality requirements, including MRBs and NCRs related to materials.
  • Participate in constructability reviews, offshore readiness reviews, SIMOPS reviews, and risk assessments from a materials and logistics perspective.
  • Act as the offshore liaison with EPC contractors, logistics providers, vessel operators, and client representatives on materials‑related matters.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to materials management and logistics activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement, best practices, and lessons learned in offshore materials management and logistics execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to offshore materials coordinators and contractor personnel, fostering strong coordination and accountability.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and close‑out of materials records, including surplus management, return to stock, and final handover documentation.

Expected:


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region 
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers.
  • Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
  • PMC experience is required
  • Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Working hands on Experience on SPEL
  • Must have working knowledge and experience of electrical discipline relevant offshore/onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
