Job description

  • Initiate and send Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) to the Plant and EME 
  • Conduct a commercial analysis and evaluation of suppliers' proposals 
  • Document procurement processes and generate monthly Procurement and Supply Cost Reports 
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports for management review 
  • Liaise closely with the Plant and EME Procurement Manager to ensure effective procurement of all allocated Purchase Requests and to address any concerns from the customer’s team 
  • Prepare and compile tender documents for EME and Plant suppliers, particularly for items not covered by the framework agreement 
  • Manage a strategic procurement process that aligns with customer needs while ensuring compliance with business processes 
  • Oversee the timely procurement of EME and Plant supplies, adhering to established procurement business processes 
  • Participate in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders, leading the priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers. Prepare a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and provide recommendations 
  • Process award recommendations, secure necessary approvals, and finalize negotiations with the successful bidder 
  • Verify that bidders conform to all tender documentation requirements, including guarantees, performance bonds, and insurance, following agreed formats and processes 
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and technical aspects relevant to procurement 
  • Provide an effective procurement function for the NMDC group, offering governance, advice, and guidance to colleagues engaged in procurement activities 
  • Develop and implement robust policies, processes, procedures, and systems to enhance the operational effectiveness of the NMDC group concerning procurement 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors 

Responsibilities:
  • Procurement administration   
  • Preferred experience with knowledge in Plant & Machinery Hire 
  • Preferred UAE market experience in sourcing   
  • Communication & Negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge in understanding & implementing the Plant Hire, Frame Agreement, Amendments. 
  • Knowledge in ERP such as SAP or Oracle 
  • Support colleagues to develop knowledge, skills and competencies 
  • Show understanding of tasks and responsibilities and achieve targets timely 
  • Pursue to be result-oriented and be aware of the result-oriented organizational culture 
  • Collaborate constructively and effectively with all colleagues throughout the organization 
  • Seek and share information and ideas to improve and optimize performance 
  • Support colleagues to achieve common goals. 
  • Show respect, flexibility and loyalty towards colleagues throughout the organization
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly orally and in writing 
  • Able to adequately solve problems or disputes. If necessary, involve the supervisor timely Verbal communication/ Language skills

  • Passing physical fitness from AD Health Service Co. SEHA is mandatory. Physical examinations and investigation test (ADMA) will be required before working at offshore Oil and Gas projects 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field, or equivalent 
  • Certification: CIPS (Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent certifications would be an advantage 
  • Minimum 06 years of related work experience in similar industries
