About the job QA/QC ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION

We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation with extensive experience in procurement quality management for oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reviewing and analyzing vendor quality documentation for Electrical & Instrumentation systems including HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems), ICSS (Integrated Control & Safety Systems), and DCS (Distributed Control Systems). The role will also involve site inspections, supervision exposure, and ensuring full compliance with ADNOC and international standards.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Review, verify, and approve vendor quality documents, including Quality Control Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), FAT/SAT procedures, Calibration Procedures, and Test Certificates.
  • Evaluate vendor quality systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, and applicable codes/standards.
  • Review and analyze documentation related to HIPPS, ICSS, and DCS packages, ensuring adherence to technical and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to clarify technical and quality-related queries.
  • Monitor vendor manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes through documentation review and inspections at vendor premises (as required).
  • Conduct and supervise electrical and instrumentation inspections at site, ensuring adherence to approved quality procedures and project specifications.
  • Oversee and guide construction teams to maintain quality standards during installation, cable laying, termination, and commissioning of E&I systems.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities for HIPPS, ICSS, and DCS packages in coordination with vendors and construction teams.
  • Apply full working knowledge of ADNOC codes, standards, and specifications relevant to E&I works in oil and gas projects.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, ISA, API, and other international codes and standards.
  • Participate in quality audits and ensure NCRs, CARs, and other quality reports are addressed and closed in a timely manner.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8+ years of QA/QC experience in oil and gas projects, with at least 3+ years in procurement quality management.
  • Strong experience in reviewing and analyzing vendor quality documentation, especially for HIPPS, ICSS, and DCS packages.
  • ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISA, API, and other international codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and vendor coordination skills.
  • Certification in relevant QA/QC and inspection disciplines (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CompEx, IECEx) is preferred.
