Job Overview


The Registrar manages the whole student experience from registration (after admission) until successful graduation. The registrar handles student registration, students class scheduling, maintains class lists, and maintains record of grades for all academic programs.


Ker responsibilities:


1. Work closely with all relevant staff and units to maintain a wide approach to student experience and to ensure a high level student satisfaction.


2. Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students.


3. Facilitate effective continuous student registration and Drop/Add.


4. Build secure student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use.


5. Maintain up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, final examination schedules.


6. Manage efficient use of classrooms through the issuing of timetables.


7. Supervise and maintain the student management package system.


8. Supervise the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of MBRSG degrees, enrollment and degree verification, production of official transcripts, and testamurs.


9. Develop a student handbook which includes a comprehensive guide to all relevant academic and School policies and procedures, and is in charge of driving the process of updating these policies and procedures.


10. Provide advice to students, faculty, and staff on academic matters.


11. Interpret and enforce policies and regulations of MBRSG, Boards of Studies and Examinations, and the School Council.


12. Ensure compliance with the standards set by the Commission of Academic Accreditation (CAA) at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.


13. Support quality improvements of the program in all aspects including key efforts to closing the loop.


14. Ensure proper governance through the work of various committees and official reporting channels.


15. Work closely with Institutional Effectiveness, data reporting, and evidence validation


Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.


Experience


5+ years’ experience in a related field preferably within an academic institution.


Wide knowledge of student management Systems.
