Job description

The Site Manager will lead and manage all on-site activities for a Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination project based in Fujairah, UAE. The role is responsible for ensuring successful execution of construction, installation, and commissioning works in compliance with project specifications, timelines, budget, and quality standards. The Site Manager will act as the key interface between the project team, contractors, and client representatives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.



Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day site operations for the SWRO desalination project.
  • Coordinate and supervise civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with approved schedules, budgets, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee installation of SWRO systems including intake/outfall, pretreatment, RO units, and post-treatment systems.
  • Enforce HSE standards and ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure work meets technical and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Monitor progress and prepare regular reports on project status, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Manage site resources including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Resolve on-site technical and operational issues efficiently.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Site Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in SWRO desalination or large-scale water treatment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of desalination processes, equipment, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with international standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Experience working on projects in the Middle East, preferably UAE.
  • Proficiency in project planning and management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
