We're Hiring | Specialist Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Physician – Sharjah, UAE 📍 Location: Sharjah 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Physician to join a leading healthcare provider in Sharjah, UAE.
The successful candidate will provide expert critical care services to adult patients with life-threatening medical and surgical conditions while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Provide comprehensive critical care for patients with: Sepsis and septic shock Acute respiratory failure Multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) Cardiac emergencies Neurological emergencies Trauma and post-operative critical care Acute renal failure and metabolic emergencies Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including: Endotracheal intubation and airway management Central venous and arterial line insertion Mechanical ventilation management Hemodynamic monitoring Bedside ultrasound (where credentialed) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Lead rapid response and resuscitation efforts for critically ill patients.
Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, internists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and other specialists.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance standards.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.

Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience in an Intensive Care Unit.
Eligibility for or possession of the relevant UAE medical license to practice in Sharjah.
Strong expertise in critical care medicine, ventilator management, invasive procedures, and emergency resuscitation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered critical care.
Preferred Candidate Profile Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary care hospitals.
UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Additional certifications such as FCCS, EDIC, FCCM, or ECMO training are an advantage.
