We're Hiring | Specialist Interventional Cardiologist – Abu Dhabi, UAE 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, interventional, and preventive cardiovascular care, with expertise in performing minimally invasive cardiac procedures.
The role involves managing patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and hypertension.
Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angioplasty and stent implantation.
Perform emergency cardiac interventions for patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction (STEMI/NSTEMI) and other life-threatening cardiovascular emergencies.
Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and cardiac catheterization findings.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide long-term follow-up for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and other specialists in the management of complex cardiac cases.
Participate in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and contribute to quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
Provide patient education on cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and preventive cardiology.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, research activities, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Ensure compliance with the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, radiation safety standards, and international cardiology guidelines.

Qualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter as a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist.

Demonstrated expertise in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and emergency cardiac interventions.
Experience with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and rotational atherectomy is an advantage.
Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient counseling abilities.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
