The Steel Supervisor is responsible for supervising steel fabrication and installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with production, engineering, quality, and site teams to achieve project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Supervise daily steel fabrication and/or erection activities.
Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.
Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor productivity and ensure project schedules are met.
Conduct inspections and resolve fabrication or installation issues.
Enforce safety regulations and company HSE policies.
Coordinate with engineers, QA/QC, and project teams.
Maintain daily progress reports and manpower records.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Train and guide workers to improve productivity and quality.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or a related technical qualification.
5–8 years of experience in structural steel fabrication or erection, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of welding, cutting, fitting, and steel fabrication processes.
Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in industrial, commercial, or construction projects is preferred.
