Job Role:


Led the full-cycle Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for CAPEX, OPEX, and Services. Key duties included strategic supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, quality compliance, and end-to-end issue resolution from delivery to final vendor payment.


Responsibilities:


Procurement & Supply Chain Management:


  • End-to-End Purchasing: Manage daily PR processing, RFQs, historical price benchmarking, and SAP PO creation/release for indirect procurement.
    • Sourcing & Negotiation: Source new suppliers, negotiate optimal commercial terms, and manage freight finalization and forwarder nominations.
    • Logistics & Delivery: Oversee international logistics, including MOH approvals, pre-alert documentation, customs clearance, and timely delivery.

Compliance, Quality & Audit


    • Quality Assurance: Manage GMP-QMS activities, including Change Controls, CAPA, Deviations, and ISO 14001:2015 (HSE) standards.
    • Internal Controls: Design and test internal controls to align procurement procedures with corporate risk matrices and handle internal audits.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management


    • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and coordinate with Finance for timely payment processing.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to meet business requirements and lead on-the-job training for the indirect procurement team.

Reporting & Analytics


    • Performance Tracking: Generate monthly KPIs tracking open PRs, PO volume, and organizational cost savings.

Core Experience:


  • Pharma Machinery Procurement, Capex, Opex, Pharma IT procurement, Projects (Greenfield & Brown Field, Production Equipment procurements, Critical consumables, production consumables, misc. items etc 
  • QMS hands on experience - CAPA handling, Change Control handling, Deviations handling, Dept OJT training handling in Ample Logic Etc.

Qualification/Functional Knowledge:


  • Engineering / BE- in either Mechanical / Electrical / OR Operational + MBA+ Pharmaceutical Studies .
  • Minimum 10 + years in Procurement.  
  • Technical proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and MS Office, with advanced capabilities in data visualization (Power BI) and AI-driven productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot).
