Position: Student Advisor / Assistant to the Principal (Adscripto/a)


Purpose of the Position


The Student Advisor (Adscripto/a) is responsible for supporting, guiding, and supervising students, collaborating with the School Leadership in academic and disciplinary management, promoting a positive institutional climate, and ensuring compliance with internal regulations and the provisions of the Uruguayan education system.


Main Responsibilities


Student Management and Support


  • Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and behavior.
  • Follow up on academic and behavioral situations.
  • Meet with students and families when necessary.
  • Promote respectful coexistence and compliance with internal school regulations.

Support to School Leadership


  • Assist in implementing institutional policies and procedures.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with teachers and the management team.
  • Prepare disciplinary and student follow-up reports.
  • Support the organization of academic and institutional activities.

Communication


  • Act as a liaison between students, teachers, families, and School Leadership.
  • Inform families about relevant situations related to student performance or behavior.

Regulatory Compliance


  • Ensure compliance with current regulations established by ANEP and/or the relevant educational authorities.
  • Ensure the proper application of the school’s internal regulations.

Requirements


  • Accredited teaching qualification or training in Education (preferred).
  • Previous experience in educational institutions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the Uruguayan education system.
  • Good command of basic IT tools.

El/la Adscripto/a es responsable de acompañar, orientar y supervisar a los estudiantes, colaborando con la Dirección en la gestión académica y disciplinaria, promoviendo un clima institucional positivo y asegurando el cumplimiento de la normativa interna y las disposiciones del sistema educativo uruguayo.


Responsabilidades Principales


Gestión y Acompañamiento Estudiantil


  • Supervisar la asistencia, puntualidad y comportamiento de los estudiantes.
  • Realizar seguimiento de situaciones académicas y conductuales.
  • Entrevistar a estudiantes y familias cuando sea necesario.
  • Promover la convivencia respetuosa y el cumplimiento del reglamento interno.

Apoyo a la Dirección


  • Colaborar en la implementación de normas y procedimientos institucionales.
  • Participar en reuniones de coordinación con docentes y equipo de gestión.
  • Elaborar informes disciplinarios y de seguimiento estudiantil.
  • Apoyar en la organización de actividades académicas e institucionales.

Comunicación


  • Actuar como nexo entre estudiantes, docentes, familias y Dirección.
  • Informar a las familias sobre situaciones relevantes relacionadas con el desempeño o conducta del estudiante.

Cumplimiento Normativo


  • Velar por el cumplimiento de la normativa vigente establecida por ANEP y/o las autoridades educativas correspondientes.
  • Asegurar la correcta aplicación del reglamento interno del colegio.

Requisitos


  • Título docente habilitante o formación en Educación (preferente).
  • Experiencia previa en instituciones educativas (valorado).
  • Conocimiento del sistema educativo uruguayo.
  • Buen manejo de herramientas informáticas.
