Oversee daily operations of date sorting, grading, packing and processing.
Ensure production targets, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
Optimize production schedules to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity Quality & Food Safety Compliance Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.
g., HACCP, ISO, BRC) and customer requirements Work closely with the quality team to maintain high product standards.
Implement corrective actions to address quality deviations.
Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
Workforce Management & Development Lead, train, and develop the production team to enhance skills and performance.
Ensure proper workforce planning, including seasonal staffing needs.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and improve labor productivity while maintaining high morale.
Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are executed to minimize downtime.
Work closely with maintenance team to optimize machine performance.
Identify and implement automation or process improvement to enhance efficiency.
Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination Coordinate with farm and supply chain teams to ensure a steady supply of date, raw materials, and packaging.
Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Ensure proper storage and handling of dates to maintain quality.
Align production planning with sales forecast and customer demand.
Monitor report the dates inventory based on the categories and grads.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE regulations.
Implement and enforce workplace safety policies and best practices.
Conduct safety training and ensure the use of PPEs and proper hygiene practices.
Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive safety culture.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, efficiency, and quality.
Prepare reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.
Use data-driven decision-making to improve processes and reduce waste.
Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product integrity.
