What you’ll do:

This position will be based in Eaton’s Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) in Pune. 
The incumbent will work with Global Commodity Managers from all businesses across Eaton and provide Strategic Sourcing Support including but not limited to RFX management, e-auctions (reverse and forward), bid analysis, supplier follow ups, creating negotiation packs & data maintenance/management. The principal role of the Analyst - Indirect ESSP is to provide direct support to commodity managers to achieve their annual goals related to category strategy and cost out targets. This position will act as an Ariba consultant for Global CMs and will also be responsible for training suppliers and buyers on e-auction tools and processes.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 



1. Identifies, leads and drives complex sourcing projects across relevant business area
2. Execute on the developed category strategy for the aligned spend categories, with ownership of the strategic sourcing project portfolio (local, regional and global)
3. RFI / RFQ Management – Request RFI or RFQ’s from suppliers, and in-depth analysis of RFQ’s, preparation of Sourcing Work Books and recommendation to commodity managers on the preferred sourcing solutions.
4. Execute competitive bid events. Identify additional potential suppliers, conduct due diligence on suppliers, contact suppliers to communicate requirements, evaluate bids received and share findings with the end user.
5. Monitor and report savings opportunities identified (WIP and executed). Present upcoming projects, recent accomplishments and potential risks to commodity managers and leadership team.
6. Evaluates supplier bids and provides an award recommendation to the end user
7. Reviews, screens and scrutinizes supplier responses and communicates questions to the appropriate stakeholders
8. Reviews business requirements, category strategy and available market to determine the appropriate suppliers to conduct sourcing buying activities
9. Coordinates with key stakeholders to understand requirements and mitigate risk
10. Conduct user training for SCM team members, buyers, commodity managers, suppliers participating in the bidding
11. Negotiation – Conducts first level of negotiations with suppliers based on the outcome of e-auctions.
12. Report Management – Generates and analyzes different reports for global commodity managers & leadership team
13. Single point of contact for all e-sourcing/Ariba related issues from global stakeholders & Eaton suppliers
14. Deploy e-sourcing/Ariba tool globally across all Eaton businesses
15. Collaborating with the cross functional team and timely implementation of the projects
16. Driving process improvement for self and team, Support for Pilot, implement Eaton Standard Sourcing process



Qualifications:

Masters/Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience OR Masters with 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing



Skills:

Must have skills:



1. Expertise in e-sourcing tools specifically Ariba platform
2. Need to have knowledge of Contract Management
3. Excellent Business Communication - Verbal & Written
4. Supply Chain Sourcing understanding



Good to have Skills:



1. ERP knowledge / working of ERP's like SAP/Oracle
2. Certification- Any certification in supply management like CPSM, CSM is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent knowledge with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project), Power BI, etc..
3. Understanding of driving end to end driving Category Strategy projects



Soft Skills (Must have):



1. Interpersonal skills - Able to work in a global environment and with stakeholders located in different regions of the world
2. Ability to communicate clearly & effectively in person , via e-mail and over phone
3.Executing activities and working autonomously with minimal direction
4. Excellent Eye for detail: The person needs to have the observatory skills to identify the problem in the most accurate manner and articulate the observations.
