The RoleAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Experience in phases of engineering e.g., Concept, Basic and Detail Engineering phases.
  • Experience in core areas of Mechanical discipline e.g. preparing equipment layouts, technical specifications, datasheets, Material Requisitions, knowledge of national, international codes and standards, Technical Bid Analysis, Vendor data review, 3D Model Reviews.
  • Capable to handle large or medium scale project and responsible for technical and resources planning as well as keep tab on budget, quality and schedule.
  • In depth knowledge and capable for preparation of Technical Specification, Tender Bid Evaluation and review of Vendor drawings / document independently for Mineral Beneficiation Equipment like, Crusher, Sizer, Screen, Mills, Cyclone, Slurry Pumps, Floatation Cell, Thickener, Filter Press etc. including Material Handling Equipment.
  • Exposure of Conveyor Calculation (preferably in various internationally established software), Chute Design, Material Flow analysis.
  • Experience in working with designers / draftsman for Plant Layout and Plot Plan, General Arrangement drawings etc.
  • Capable for reviewing 3D model in various 3D review software platform.
  • Orientation to working in workshare environments with Lead office.
  • Understanding of Project requirements like productivity/ schedule workhour control etc.
  • Capable of interacting with all stakeholders including Inter discipline, client and vendors.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written to communicate with client and lead offices.
  • Support proposal engineering.
  • Should be open for short travel and deputation to sites / lead offices where required.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Graduate Mech engineer with 15-20 years of Engineering exposure in the Mechanical Department of a consultancy organization. Experience range can be flexible for deserving candidate.
  • Candidates with experience in technical services department of a Metal / Mineral / Chemical Processing plant can also apply. However at least 10 years of engineering consultancy experience (Material Handling, Mineral Processing projects preferred) will be required.
  • Worked as Lead Mech Engineer in projects for minimum 10 years over and above managing a Mech team.
  • Experience in Material Handling, Equipment associated with Mining, Minerals and Metals (MMM) industry.
  • Capable to work independently and should have worked as Sr. Engineer in at least 4-5 projects leading a mechanical team of at least 4-6 people.
