Position Overview:





The Exec./Sr. Exec./AM/Manager - Hub Security is responsible for ensuring the security of all shipments, employees, and infrastructure at the Hub. The role involves implementing security protocols, conducting audits, and managing security personnel and systems. It is critical to maintaining compliance, preventing risks, and ensuring smooth operational continuity.



Job Purpose:





To ensure the physical security of all shipments, personnel, and infrastructure at the Hub by implementing robust security measures and protocols. The role focuses on risk prevention, incident management, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.



Key Roles & Responsibilities:






Shipment Security



  • Ensure the physical security and safe handling of all shipments within the Hub.
  • Manage high-value shipments through secure handovers, escorts, pre-alerts, and real-time monitoring.
  • Investigate open, tampered, or damaged shipments and coordinate with the origin for resolution.
  • Update and close all security cases in the SHIELD system within defined timelines.

Facility Security and Safety



  • Maintain the overall physical security of the Hub premises, including building access and surveillance.
  • Conduct regular electrical, fire safety, and infrastructure audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of all electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.

Security Audits and Compliance



  • Conduct periodic internal security audits and ensure full compliance with organizational safety standards.
  • Perform vehicle and branding audits for all Hub vehicles, ensuring adherence to locking systems, documentation, and pollution control norms.

People and Process Management



  • Support pre-employment and police verifications for all new employees in coordination with regional security teams.
  • Lead security orientation, emergency preparedness training, and fire-safety drills for Hub employees.
  • Drive communication and awareness of safety policies and procedures among all staff.

Security Personnel Oversight



  • Ensure adequate staffing of trained security guards; manage deployment and supervise day-to-day duties.
  • Conduct regular training, refresher courses, and surprise checks to maintain discipline and effectiveness.

Risk Management and Liaison



  • Identify, assess, and report potential security risks; collaborate with Operations for timely mitigation.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies to support seamless movement of network vehicles and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:






Education:



  • Essential: Graduate in any discipline.
  • Preferred: Preferably certified in Security Management, Fire & Safety, or Risk Assessment.

Experience:



  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in security operations, preferably in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain sectors.
  • Ex-servicemen from the Indian Navy or Indian Air Force with experience in security, administration, or logistics roles are highly preferred.
  • Experience in handling shipment security, facility safety, emergency preparedness, and managing security personnel.
  • Hands-on experience with security systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Safety Devices.
  • Prior exposure to incident investigation, safety audits, and coordination with local law enforcement authorities is desirable.
