Job description

Lead the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process to deliver accurate books and records, timely month‑end close, and compliant financial reporting. Drive balance sheet integrity, internal controls, audit readiness, and continuous improvement, aligned with IFRS, US GAAP (management reporting), local statutory and tax requirements, and company policies.




Essential Functions
  • Lead month‑end close activities including journal entries, accruals, trial balance adjustments, and period‑end closing entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and reporting packages for management and stakeholders.
  • Perform financial analysis (trends/variances) and provide insights to support decision‑making.
  • Review and approve general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policy.
  • Own balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, review cadence, and timely clearing actions across key accounts (e.g., inventory, intercompany, fixed assets, AP/AR, accruals and provisions).
  • Ensure key account reconciliations are prepared, fully reviewed, ageing is monitored, and issues are resolved within defined timelines.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for RTR scope; provide timely responses, evidence, and drive closure of audit findings.
  • Support statutory and tax requirements by ensuring accurate accounting support, schedules and documentation for VAT/WHT/CIT as applicable.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline close, improve quality, and enhance compliance (standardisation/automation where possible).
  • Coach and develop team members; set expectations and monitor performance against SLAs and quality metrics.
  • Liaise with cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate and timely financial information flow and issue resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in RTR / financial accounting / controllership with ownership of month‑end close and balance sheet governance.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP (management reporting).
  • Strong local tax knowledge (VAT/WHT/CIT) and experience in managing audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work in a multi‑country support model.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with large ERPs (e.g., iScala/SAP/Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
  • Professional certification (CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA/IFRS).
  • Prior experience leading teams, driving KPIs/SLAs, and delivering process improvements.
