Job description

We are looking for a Engineering & Maintenance Department Manager to ensure and oversee all system transactions related to the department, update production process documentation, participate in new projects transferred to the site, and manage all activities related to the Maintenance department within the unit.


Additionally, coordinate all activities related to the implementation of new processes or projects within the plant.


Role Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


The Engineering Department Manager is responsible for:


Project & Process Ownership
  • Act as process owner for flows 1, 2, 4, and 5, including accountability for related results
  • Define and manage activity plans for new projects
  • Ensure successful execution of new project programs
  • Coordinate the installation of new processes or projects within the plant
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Support and train team leaders
  • Organize daily meetings with engineers to identify deviations and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities and engineering changes
Engineering & Operations Management
  • Plan model change programs
  • Implement new layouts and engineering changes
  • Ensure proper interpretation and application of engineering procedures
  • Approve work instructions and technical/organizational documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Aptiv standards during layout design
Continuous Improvement & Performance
  • Contribute to defining continuous improvement objectives
  • Develop and execute action plans to meet these objectives
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of improvement targets
  • Optimize processes and working methods
  • Manage and track cost-reduction programs across all projects
Quality & Industrialization
  • Coordinate PPAP preparation and first production samples
  • Contribute to control plan development with the Quality team
Planning & Budget
  • Plan departmental activities
  • Ensure adherence to the allocated budget
Governance & Compliance
  • Participate in weekly technical meetings with the Plant Manager and department heads


  • Ensure compliance with:


    • Quality standards
    • Safety regulations
    • Environmental procedures
  • Has the authority to stop any process that represents a safety risk to employees


Candidate Profile1. Education
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electromechanics and Industrial Automation
2. Key Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to access and analyze information effectively
  • Active listening skills
  • Cross-functional coordination
  • Conflict management
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • Technical proficiency in:
    • Matlab
    • AutoCAD

3. Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the automotive or plastics industry is required
