Key Responsibilities

 

1. Cost Estimation & BOQ Development

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular buildings including civil works, MEP, steel structures, joinery, and finishes.
  • Develop complete Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Calculate material, labor, equipment, and fabrication costs.

 

2. Tendering & Proposal Preparation

  • Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for modular building projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement to gather vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids to meet tender deadlines.

 

3. Technical Analysis & Value Engineering

  • Analyze project drawings and identify cost-saving alternatives.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with modular building design standards and local regulations.

 

4. Coordination & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with engineering, design, production, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Attend clarification meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Support project teams during contract finalization and handover.

 

 

5. Market Research & Cost Database Management

  • Maintain updated price databases for materials, suppliers, and labor rates.
  • Track market pricing trends and competitor benchmarking.
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials relevant to modular construction.


Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / mechanical engineering / industrial engineering / construction management.

-3–7 years of experience in estimation, preferably in modular buildings, prefabricated structures, or steel fabrication.

-Strong understanding of modular construction methods, fabrication, and installation.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), MS Excel, and estimation software.

-Strong understanding of structural drawings, MEP layouts, and shop drawings.

-Knowledge of Saudi/UAE construction codes (if working in GCC)..
